One especially practical feature: quick access to equipment. Shoulder and hip pockets, a side compartment for crampons, climbing skins and ski crampons, and a rope can all be easily accessed without having to remove the backpack. A carabiner can also be used to attach skis parallel to the backpack while it is being worn.

Emergency equipment and a light ice axe stored in the separate safety compartment can be quickly grabbed in an emergency, while all items in the main compartment can be accessed via the fully fold-out back. A large, separate compartment provides additional space in the upper part of the SWITCHBACK 30 S / 32 .
