The lighter weight fabric around the core gives greater mobility, breathability, and reduced weight and bulk for when your shell needs stashed in a pack. From the skin track to the boot pack, to the wind ravaged ridgeline, the jacket breathes and protects, easily deflecting wind, snow, and spindrift, while effectively managing moisture through your layering system.

But reaching the summit is only half the experience. For the all-important descent we’ve designed this jacket with a slightly longer length to keep that billowing powder on the outside only. The pockets are easily accessible, even with a backpack on, and the two-way adjustable hood is ski helmet compatible for the wildest winter days. With a stiff peak and easy head turn, it protects from the weather without hampering visibility. Seal out the snow with the soft and stretchy internal gaiters and a stretch Matrix™ powder skirt, designed to be unobtrusive when not in use.
